The male national U15 team, Black Comets, commenced their 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship with a resounding victory over Uganda on Wednesday.

Ghana condemned the little Cranes of Uganda to a 2-0 defeat in the Group A opening game at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra.

A double from John Andor ensured the Black Comets had a perfect start for the team's first-ever appearance in the competition after missing out on the last two editions of the tournament.

The Third World FC attacker opened the scoring for Ghana with a fine strike in the third minute before sealing the victory with another goal in the 30th minute of the game.

Coach Kwaku Danso's side enjoyed the majority of the game's possession with several fearsome attacks with the hopes of extending their lead, but the Ugandan goalkeeper was at his usual best to deny Emmanuel Drah and Ramsey Antwi from registering their names on the score sheet.

Ghana will face the South Africa U15 team on Thursday at 11:00am before playing Algeria at 3:00pm in the final Group A game.
