Ghanaian referee, Daniel Nii Laryea has made the final list of match officials selected by CAF for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations which comes off next month in Morocco.
This honestly comes no surprise to many football faithfuls in Ghana as Laryea has proven beyond reasonable doubts that he is the best in the country in the last few years.
This isn’t his first AFCON experience as the 38-year-old has been at the main showpiece before and other competitions like the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup, CHAN, WAFCON and others with so much experience and exposure.
Daniel Laryea makes the cut as part of the 28 center-referees chosen including 14 video match officials and 31 assistants; totaling to 73 in total.
However, Ghana missed out on the qualification after an embarrassing and winless campaign in the qualifiers having finished at the bottom of Group F that had Angola, Sudan and Niger
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will commence on December 21, with host Morocco taking on Comoros in the opening game of the competition.
