Bibiani GoldStars head coach, Samuel Frimpong Manso has called on Ghanaians for their support in their crunchy CAF Champions League qualifying game against Algerian side JS Kabylie coming up over the weekend.

The Miners have been preparing so hard ahead of the tasks ahead in a quest to defending their league title and also excel in their Africa campaign

The Ghanaian champions started off their campaign on a higher note with a precious 2-1 win over Bechem United in a very difficult encounter over the weekend at the Dun’s Park.

On the other hand, JS Kabylie haven’t really been in a good form since the commencement of the Algeria Ligue 1 with two drawn games and a defeat in their opening three matches of the season and will have to step up their game if they want to reach the next stage of the qualifying round.

In an interview prior to the game, GoldStars coach Frimpong Manso has pleaded with Ghanaians to pull out in numbers to come and rally behind them as he believes their presence will be very crucial to helping win the first leg in the capital.

“We are playing in Accra. It’s not our home ground, and so what we will appeal for is for all Ghanaians, those who can come to the stadium, to give us the support,” he told Joy Sports.

“They did it for the Black Stars against Mali, so we are very sure they will do the same thing for us, and I’m very sure if they also come in their numbers, we can also win and win well.”

The first leg is slated for Saturday, September 20, at the Ohene Gyan Stadium at 15:00GMT (3:00pm)
