Ghanaian champions Hasaacas Ladies have arrived safely in Cote D'Ivoire, Bouake precisely for the 2024 WAFU Zone B Women's Champions League qualifiers which starts tomorrow.
The 'Hasmal Ladies' return to the continental showpiece since 2021 after beating bitter rivals Ampem Darkoa Ladies by 2-1 to emerge champions of the 2023/24 Ghana Women's Premier League to end their two-year abeyance.
The victory has now given them the nod to compete in the West African qualifying series in order to search for the spot to compete in the main competition.
The 'Doo' ladies have been put in Group B alongside Nigerian champions Edo Queens, AS Grade Nationale from Niger and Burkinabe side Ominisports Entichele.
The team arrived few hours ago looking very poised and motivated for the competition coming up and were supported with $10,000 by Vice President H.E Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia.
Hasaacas Ladies are the first Ghanaian club to play in the CAF Women's Champions League in the maiden edition in 2021- where they made it all the way to the final with a stunning performance but unfortunately lost the title painfully to current holders Sundowns Ladies from South Africa.
The WAFU Zone B qualifiers will run from August 10-23, 2024.
