The home-based contingent of Ghana’s U-23 national team have arrived safely in Benghazi ahead of the first leg of their CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya.

The players left the country earlier this morning with head coach Desmond Ofei and the technical team as preparations continue for Wednesday’s crucial encounter.

Ghana’s foreign-based players are expected to join the squad in camp after travelling directly from their respective clubs following this weekend’s league fixtures.

The Black Meteors will be hoping to deliver a strong performance in Benghazi and secure a positive result to take into the return leg on home soil.

Ofei and his men will be keen to approach the first leg with confidence as they seek to put themselves in a good position to progress in the qualifying campaign.

The match against Libya is scheduled for Wednesday, November 11, 2026, with Ghana aiming to take an important step towards the next qualifying round.
