Black Stars poster-boy, Kudus Mohammed has expressed his readiness for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations which commences this weekend in Cote D'Ivoire.
The 23-year-old despite being in an explosive form at his club West Ham United nearly got himself ruled of the continent's biggest football showpiece with hamstring injury.
However, he's gradually getting better and joined the other 26 players Chris Hughton invited in camp as they departed Ghana to Ivory Coast last Wednesday in a grand style.
The team have held two training sessions already since arrival and Kudus took part in all looking very poised and ready for action.
Heading into his second AFCON appearance, the ex- Ajax midfielder feels very elated for another opportunity and can't wait for the tournament to begin.
"Hi Ghanaian fans, I’m happy to be here. And I can’t wait for the tournament to start. Let’s go Ghana,” Kudus said during a photo shoot with CAF.
The Black Stars are in Group B together with Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
Ghana will kickoff the competition against the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14, at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
