Hearts of Oak gaffer, Samuel Boadu is looking to become the second manager to guide the club to win their second CAF Confederations Cup.
According to the 36-year-old tactical brainy, is side will put measures in place and make sure they prepare adequately for the inter-club competition as he aims to scoop that accolade this time around.
Hearts of Oak, having won the FA Cup last Sunday - will represent the country in Africa and It’s clear Boadu wants to win, Obviously, It’s just a shame only 40,000 can pack the Accra Sports Stadium, with Phobian fans capable of filling the multi-use national stadium.
“Hearts of Oak played in Africa last season and many lessons have been learned and this time around, we will ensure the right things are done,” he said on Asempa FM's Ultimate Sports Show.
“We are ready to make an impact and possibly win the CAF Confederations Cup. That is where Hearts of Oak belong.
“Hearts of Oak did not defend the Premier League trophy but we were able to win the FA Cup so I am confident we will do well and possibly win the trophy,” he concluded.
Hearts has won the Premier League twenty-one times, the Ghanaian FA Cup a record twelve times, the Ghana Super Cup, a joint record three times the President's Cup, five times, and the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup once each.
The Rainbow lads accrued 48 points and finished 6th in the just-ended 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
