Former Ghana Football Association vice president, Fred Pappoe says it will be tough for Hearts of Oak to qualify ahead of AS Bamako.

Hearts of Oak lost to AS Bamako by 3:0 in the 1st leg of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Hearts of Oak will host AS Bamako in the return fixture at the Accra Sports stadium this weekend.

Hearts of Oak are yet to appoint a substantive head coach after sacking Samuel Boadu and his backroom staff.

David Ocloo, the newly appointed assistant coach led Hearts of Oak in the 1st leg, and is expected to lead them this weekend.

The 2019 GFA Presidential candidate Fred Pappoe says it will be difficult for Hearts of Oak to qualify.

"Hearts have a lot of things to do if they really want to overturn the score line and qualify to the next stage," he said on Akoma FM.

"It's really going to be a tough one, It is my wish that they qualify but let me be emphatic here that it is a very tall order and demands a lot of hard work.

"I don't even know if they are making a decision to appoint a substantive coach in a short time or as a club if they have sat down to conduct proper investigation into the reasons why they lost embarrassingly in Mali," he added.
