The talented central midfielder has signed a new two-year contract with the Tanzanian top-tier club after an impressive campaign.

Ghana international James Akaminko has extended his contract with Tanzanian Premier League outfit Azam FC after a fruitful negotiation earlier this week.

In a statement from Azam FC, it has announced that James Akaminko has signed a new deal to stay at the club until 2026.

“Midfielder, James Akaminko, has extended a new two-year contract to remain in our club. Thus, he is still very much present in the outskirts of Azam Complex until the year 2026,” an official club statement from Azam FC said.

The 27-year-old joined Azam FC in 2022 on a two-and-half year deal after ending his stay at Ghana Premier League side Great Olympics.

Akaminko was a member of the Black Galaxies squad that won silver medal at the 2019 WAFU Cup in Senegal.
