Appiah's nomination comes after guiding the Falcons of Jediane to secure 7 wins, 4 draws and just one defeat in the 12 games he has been in charge.



Sudan has displayed an impressive run in the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. Appiah's side posted a goalless draw with his native Ghana - which they followed it up with a 2-0 win in Libya.



The Falcons of Jediane bosses the second spot of Group F with seven points, three points beneath Angola, with two matches remaining.



Appiah, a former Ghana coach is part of a 10-man shortlist that also features Angola’s Pedro Gonçalves, DR Congo’s Sebastien Desabre, and South Africa’s Hugo Broos, among others.



The CAF awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Morocco on December 16, 2024.
