The 20-year-old defender has completed his transfer switch to the Danish top-flight out from the Portuguese third-tier campaigners, with his fresh terms set to take him through to 2030 at the MCH Arena
lvory Coast youngster Djé Beni has joined Danish Superliga club FC Midtjylland from Portuguese Liga 3 outfit CD Mafra on a four-year contract, the club have confirmed.
The left-back is now teaming up with his former team-mates at the Mafra-based club for the 2026-27 football season in the Danish elite division contest.
A statement confirming his capturing read: ''20-year-old Djé Beni is a new player at FC Midtjylland. He joins the club from CD Mafra, where he has been a regular for several seasons.

''Pedro Bravo and Ousmane Diao have already made the move from Portuguese CD Mafra to FC Midtjylland with great success. Elias Olafsson, Victor Bak and Valdemar Byskov have also passed through the green and yellow shirts before taking a central place in the Midtjylland first team.
''Now it is 20-year-old Djé Beni, colloquially just 'Beni', who is replacing Mafra with FC Midtjylland. He will join the club on a deal until the end of 2030 and join the team ahead of the 2026/27 season.''
The lvorian youngster has told his club's official website: ''This is a very important step for me in my career. I am looking forward to learning and becoming even better. My time in Mafra has taught me a lot both on and off the pitch, and I now feel ready for the next step.

''In my first year at Mafra I didn't play much. I saw both Diao and Bravo go to Midtjylland, and it showed me how far you can go with hard work. My ambition has been to do the same, and I'm proud to have achieved one of my goals.
''I want to win trophies with the club and play European football. My biggest ambition is to one day play in the Champions League. But first and foremost I want to develop my game in all parameters. I'm looking forward to what lies ahead.''
Sporting director Kristian Bach Bak added: ''We have followed Beni for a long time and have had a great desire to bring him to FC Midtjylland at some point. He is dynamic, strong offensively, and has already played a lot of games at a young age. This is evidence of both quality and maturity. Beni has been a driving force for Mafra, and this has created natural interest from outside. That is why we are also happy that he has chosen FC Midtjylland as the next step in his career, and we look forward to fulfilling his potential together.''

Before sealing his move to the Wolves, the former AFAD plateau youth star made 56 appearances for Mafra's first team, providing six assists along the way. This season, he has been a high profile player for the team, which is fourth in the promotion play-offs for the Portuguese Liga 3.
He remains a future prospect for the lvory Coast national football team at the international level.
