The German elite division club are reportedly set to land the 19-year-old defender from the Norwegian top division outfit ahead of the summer window 

Bundesliga side FC Köln are closing in on signing Gambian teenage centre-back Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh from Eliteserien club Tromsø lL, an emerging report from the German media has indicated.

The aggressive heavy-built centre-half, who is also currently on the radar of league rivals RB Leipzig, has so far taken the Norwegian top-flight by storm, with such impressive displays already attracting serious attention from potential suitors across Europe this summer.

According to Sky, the Billy Goats have already reached a verbal agreement with the Mawade Wade Academy graduate and could soon link up with each other for the new football season provided a transfer fee is reached between both clubs over his transfer switch in the coming days.

Aside RB Leipzig and FC Köln, Premier League giants Manchester United and ltalian Serie A heavyweights AC Milan are also believed to be in the running for his services in an effort to reinforce their backline options with his capturing next term.

With his existing contract set to expire on December 31, 2026, those that have lined up for his signature must be readying themselves to splash a fee of €5 million on his head if they are to land him in the summer as per his transfermarkt valuation.

Kinteh has so far taken in 9 appearances for Tromsø lL across all competitions in this just commenced 2026-027 Norwegian football season.

He has already won 1 cap for The Gambia national football team on the international stage.
