Patrice Motsepe has intensified preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations with a working visit to Kenya, where infrastructure and stadium development are under close review.
The Confederation of African Football president is in Nairobi for the Africa Forward 2026 Summit, a forum focused on improving football development, investment, and long-term growth across the continent.
During the visit, Motsepe is also expected to meet local organisers involved in planning for Africa Cup of Nations 2027, which will be co-hosted by Tanzania, and Uganda.
Alongside the summit, attention will turn to inspection duties, with Motsepe set to visit stadium sites and key infrastructure projects to assess Kenya’s readiness for the tournament.
CAF says the checks are part of ongoing monitoring as preparations continue ahead of the next phase of planning for AFCON 2027, with hosting standards a key priority for the governing body.
The visit is seen as another step in ensuring the tournament meets required international standards while supporting football development across East Africa.
