Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has blamed poor decision-making by his players for Accra Hearts of Oak’s goalless draw against Aduana FC in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The Phobians hosted the Dormaa-based side at the Accra Sports Stadium hoping to secure all three points and keep their fading league title hopes alive.
Despite dominating large spells of the contest and creating opportunities, Hearts of Oak failed to break down Aduana FC’s defence and had to settle for a 0-0 draw at full-time.
Speaking after the match, Dramani admitted his team’s poor choices in key moments affected their ability to secure victory.
“I think that it’s part of the sporting event where you have challenges, and you have learning curves. I believe this is part of the learning, and we will deal with the challenges,” he said.
“It is still decision-making. I have said it from day one. I think we need to improve our decision-making.”
The experienced tactician also stressed the importance of continuous improvement and humility as the team looks to finish the season strongly.
“I think what is important in football is that you always need to improve and you need to be humble enough to agree that there is work to be done and you have to grow,” he added.
The result officially ends Hearts of Oak’s hopes of winning the Ghana Premier League title this season.
The Phobians will now shift focus to their final two league matches as they aim to secure a top-four finish before the end of the campaign.
