Vision FC produced a commanding performance to cruise to a convincing 3-0 victory over Karela United in their Ghana Premier League (GPL) matchweek 32 clash on Sunday afternoon at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema Newtown.
The Eewoo Boys were the better side throughout the match as they defended well and took their chances nicely to earn one of their best wins of the season.
Vision FC started the game strongly and took the lead after just eight minutes through Burkinabe defender Abdoul Nafilss Konate. The defender scored early to give the home side the advantage and settle the nerves of the home supporters.
Vision FC controlled most of the game and kept pressure on Karela United, who struggled to create chances.
After halftime, the Eewoo Boys continued their strong performance and doubled their lead in the 70th minute when 16-year-old defender Bernard Kwarteng scored from the penalty spot.
Midfielder Zaidan Alhassan added the third goal in the 77th minute to complete a comfortable afternoon for Vision FC.
Vision FC enjoyed 58 percent possession, made 10 shots with four on target, won two corner kicks and received one yellow card.
Although Vision FC won the match, they still remain in the relegation zone in 16th place with 41 points. Meanwhile, the defeat leaves Karela United in eighth position with 46 points.
