The Black Queens of Ghana have advanced to the next round of the 2028 Olympic Games qualifiers after recording a 7-0 victory over Mauritius in the second leg at the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi earlier today.
The win completed a dominant two-legged performance by Ghana, who had already secured a 3-0 victory in the first leg away from home last week.
The Queens took control of the return fixture in the first half, with Evelyn Badu, Portia Boakye and Ajegipina Zakaria all scoring to give the hosts a comfortable lead at the break.
Ghana maintained their attacking threat after the restart, with substitute Mukarama Abdulai making an immediate impact by scoring twice.
Benedicte Simon and Jennifer Cudjoe also got their names on the scoresheet as the Queens completed the seven-goal win in front of their home supporters.
The result sends Ghana into the next qualifying round as they continue their campaign to secure a place at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
