Medeama SC speedster, Samuel Bio, says his side are ready to face their star-studded opponents TP Mazembe in their first game tie of the Caf Confederations Cup group stage matches, adding a draw will be at least their results.
The former Tema Youth wide-man is confident that his side will cause a surprise as they are equally determined as their opponents and says they will face them squarely when they both meet on Sunday at the Stade TP Mazembe stadium in Lubumbashi.
"We've nothing to fear about. We're equally determined to face them squarely in the game," the 21-year-old pocket - size speedster told Kickgh.com via phone call in an interview.
"We were never given the chance to make it against Mamelodi Sundowns, but then what happened when we played against them? Bio asked.
"I think our best will be draw or even win the game as anything can happen.I'm pleased about the morale in camp as we're all living with high hopes including the technical team members and we can't wait for tomorrow's game," he remarked.
The Ghanaian club were greeted with an intimidating atmosphere by their opponents fans , with some going to the extent of predicting dooms with a massive scoreline against them when they touched down on Friday, but Bio says his outfit are unfazed about the actions of the fans and will shut their mouths after the game.
"When we arrived in the country, their fans were saying they will defeat us by 3 goals, others too were saying 4 goals and the likes; but we'll not talk as we shall be doing ours on the field," he stated.
"The fans can continue with their predictions and all sort of comments about us, but we're not moved at all by these actions. They'll keep their mouths shut after the game." he declared.
However, Bio has sounded a stern warning to his marker should he gain a starting berth and says his foe will incur his wrath for the entire duration of the game.
"Whoever will mark me doesn't bothers me," Bio retorted when asked about the possibility of facing his fellow countryman in the game.
"Whether it's going to be Yaw Frimpong or whoever at all, provided I start, will also have his share of my troubles on the day.I'm just ready to face whoever will stand on my way and we shall see what will happen," he bragged.
Samuel Bio was groomed by Kumasi Conerstone at the colts level.
