Former French defender Ronald Zubar has declared that Nigeria currently produces the finest football talent on the African continent, citing the impressive performances of Super Eagles players across Europe’s top leagues.

In an interview with Nigerian journalist Taye Taiwo for bookmaker-ratings.ru, Zubar praised the increasing influence of Nigerian footballers in elite competitions.

“Nigeria have the best players in Africa right now,” Zubar said. “When you look at the top European leagues, Nigerian players are featuring regularly and making a real impact.”

The former Marseille defender highlighted the country’s strength in all areas of the pitch—attack, midfield, and defence—pointing out that many Super Eagles have become regular starters in England, Italy, Spain, and France. He also emphasized the depth of talent, with emerging youngsters pushing for spots alongside established internationals.

Zubar reserved special praise for striker Victor Osimhen, noting his mentality and leadership during the recent Africa Cup of Nations.

“I watched the Africa Cup of Nations, and I like Osimhen,” Zubar said. “I admire his fighting spirit, his winning mentality, and how he motivates his teammates. Even when he moved to Turkey, critics doubted his career, but he has shown he is one of the best strikers in the world.”

With Nigeria consistently ranking among Africa’s top nations in FIFA standings and supplying talent to Europe’s elite leagues, expectations continue to grow for the Super Eagles in upcoming continental and global tournaments.
