Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton appears inclined to field an attacking lineup for the match against the Central African Republic on Thursday, September 7, 2023.
Ghana has struggled to score more than one goal in any of their last four qualifier games, prompting the coach to seek solutions in their final match of the series.
In Hughton's favored 4-2-3-1 formation, Lawrence Ati-Zigi is expected to guard the goal, supported by a flat defense line consisting of Alidu Seidu on the right, Alexander Djiku and Nicholas Opoku as the central duo, and Gideon Mensah on the left.
The midfield is likely to feature Salis Samed and Edmund Addo as the base, with Ernest Nuamah on the right wing, Mohammed Kudus in the central area, and Jordan Ayew on the left wing.
Leading the line is Inaki Williams, who is eager to break his scoring drought. The Athletic Club forward has yet to find the net for the Black Stars since his debut for the team in September 2022.
The match is scheduled for a 16:00 GMT kickoff time.
