Paris Saint-Germain youth prospect Fabio Domingos has committed his international future to Cape Verde, earning a late call-up to the national team ahead of the FIFA Series in New Zealand.
The 18-year-old winger, who was also eligible to represent Luxembourg, had been included in the European nation’s squad for the March international window but has now opted to feature for the Blue Sharks.
Born in Luxembourg to Cape Verdean parents, Domingos follows a family connection to Luxembourg football, with his brothers Leonel Monteiro Domingos and Hugo Domingos having previously represented the country at U-19 level, collecting four and six caps respectively.
Domingos has been named by head coach Bubista as a replacement for striker Gilson Benchimol, adding further depth to the squad.
At club level, the left winger joined Paris Saint-Germain at the start of the 2025/26 season from Metz’s U-19 side and is currently featuring for the club’s U-23 team, where he continues to develop his game.
His inclusion makes him one of six new additions to the Cape Verde squad for the upcoming fixtures, alongside goalkeeper Carlos dos Santos, defenders Jorginho Soares, midfielders Jordan Mendes and Ayoni Santos, and striker Ieltsin Camões.
Cape Verde will face Chile on March 27 before concluding their international schedule against Finland on March 30, as Domingos prepares to begin his journey at senior international level.
