Chelsea star Rahim Sterling is said to have persuaded rising football talent Hafiz Ibrahim, a teenage star from Nigeria to accept a two-week trial at Chelsea.
Ibrahim has been offered a two week trial with the Blues in order to secure a contract and sign the dotted lines with the club.
Playing for Nigerian lower side Ojodu City, Ibrahim's Ojodu City FC’s impressive performance in the tournament was evident, despite being edged out by Beyond Limit in the semi-final of the 2024 Viareggio Cup with ten goals in six games, making him the top scorer of the competition.
In an attempt to fulfil his dream of becoming a fully-professional football player, he will spend the next two weeks on trial at Chelsea.
According to The Express, Sterling personally spoke with Ibrahim over a video conference in order to persuade him to accept the trial.
