Uganda hold Ghana to a disappointing 2-2 draw in an international friendly at the Stade de Marrakech.
Coach Otto Addo made five changes from the team that played against Uganda; having introduced the likes of Jojo Wollacott, Denis Odoi, Ebenezer Annan, Francis Abu and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku all in the line up.
Ghana started well and dominated in all aspects in the early stages. Jordan Ayew came so close with a free kick but was parried away by goalkeeper Tom Ikara to a corner kick.
Jordan Ayew's delivery landed on Jerome Opoku who headed into the net to hand Ghana the lead. What a start it was for the Black Stars!
On the 17th minute, Jerome Opoku gave away a pass to Rogers Mato who made a good run into the box but a timely intervention from Edmund Addo saved the situation. The Ugandans appealed strongly for penalty but the referee wasn't interested.
Three minutes later, Uganda were awarded a penalty after Fahad Bayo was brought down by Ebenezer Annan in the box. Asante Kotoko striker Steven Mukwala stepped up for the kick and scored beautifully to earn the equalizer for the Cranes.
An explosive possessive football from the Black Stars resulted into a penalty after Denis Odoi was clipped down in the box. Jordan Ayew went for it and made no mistake to restore Ghana's lead on the 27th minute.
In the second half, the Ugandans returned on a blistering and looked more purposeful this time having thrown more men forward in search of the opener.
Thirteen minutes on, Steven Mukwala once again came so close to scoring getting the leveller but his header was parried away hugely by goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott.
Tariq Lamptey, Alidu Seidu, Forson Amankwah stalwart defender Mohammed Salisu were all introduced subsequently in the game to also showcase what they have got.
Uganda had a glorious opportunity to find the net but substitute Muhammad Shaban was denied by Jojo Wollacott with his leg.
With nine minutes to go, Muhammad Shaban redeemed himself after nipping on poor defending to steal the equalizer for the Cranes.
