The man on the touchline at the Right to Dream Park has hinted that his outfit could be at war with the Ghana FA over the invite of the 19-year-old nimble footed winger for this month's Fifa international window 

FC Nordsjælland head coach Jens Fønsskov Olsen has indicated that his side may be tempted to prevent Ghanaian teenager Prince Amoako Junior from showing up for the Black Stars friendly against Mexico on May 22, 2026.

Given his explosive performaces this term, the Right to Dream academy graduate has now been handed his maiden call-up to the Ghana national football team by Portuguese manager Carlos Queiroz ahead of the high-profile contest later this month. 

Nonetheless, the SC Freiburg transfer target could see his dream of making his debut appearance with the Black Stars team jeopardize as he could be prevented from honouring the invite for the international assignment should the Tigers head for the playoffs for European football competitions next season.

Addressing the situation which is likely to ignite a war between his outfit and the Ghana FA over the release of their dependable winger, the gaffer has told Danish football publication outlet BOLD: ''I think I'm super proud that he's been selected. He's worked hard and had some really good performances in the Super League. We're also really happy that he can play for the national team at such an early age.''

He added: ''Then we have to see how the other thing can be resolved. Of course, that's outside the window, and we have to see if we have a fight or not. Of course, we have seen and noted it, but right now we are most pleased with what has happened.''

Amoako Jr. has so far taken in 34 appearances by netting 9 times and assisting 6 for FCN across all contests in this current 2025/26 football season.

He could earn his first cap with the Ghana national football team, the Black Stars at the international level if he's able to honour the call-up handed to him by the Ghana FA technical bench for the Mexico friendly later this month.
