The 23-year-old midfield enforcer of Ghanaian lineage has completed his switch to the English fifth-tier outfit ahead of the upcoming summer window

Wales-born Ghanaian midfielder Kwaku Frimpong has joined National League club Aldershot Town Football Club for the 2026/27 football campaign, the club have announced.

The former AFC Wimbledon U18 star, who had a short-term loan spell with sixth-tier campaigners Hampton and Richmond this term, is joining the Shots on a free transfer after leaving his club Worthing FC this summer.

A portion of a statement confirming his capturing read: ''Aldershot Town are thrilled to announce the signing of Kwaku Frimpong. The midfielder joins the Shots from Worthing FC after making 29 appearances for them in the 25/26 National League South season. On behalf of everyone at Aldershot Town we would like to welcome Kwaku to the club and can’t wait to see what he can do on the pitch.''

''The 23 year old is yet to feature in the Enterprise National League and will relish the chance to impress the Shots fans. He has showed very promising signs of success after helping Worthing secure the league title last season, as well as playing his part in rescuing Hampton and Richmond from relegation.''

Head coach Scott Davies has told his club's official website: ''Kwaku is a really exciting signing and someone that fits the bill of what we are looking for in a central midfielder. He’s dynamic, aggressive and can drive with the ball to open up the opposition. He’s someone that I’ve tried to sign for the past three summers, so to finally get him is extremely pleasing.''

Given his Ghanaian heritage, the Cardiff-born native enforcer still remains fit to switch nationality and represent the Ghana national football team at the international level.
