James Kuuku Dadzie, a former captain of the Black Stars believes that the players who were handed an invitation after the withdrawal of eight players from the team could perform and secure qualification to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Ghana have a daunting task ahead of them as they are currently third of Group F, having just two points, while Angola are first on the standings with twelve points.
Ahead of the crucial match against the Palancas Negras and Niger, eight players decided to withdraw from the squad citing different explanations.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Kuuku Dadzie said; "Our performance has been poor, making qualification difficult. I think this prompted the players withdrawal.
"Football is unpredictable. The replacement players might perform well and secure qualification. We're hoping Sudan loses," he added.
Ghana will take on Angola on November 15 and Niger on November 18 in their final 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying games.
