Armée Patriotique Rwandaise Football Club (APR) could put-in an official bid for Asante Kotoko striker Steven Mukwala, according to a report.
Mukwala, a previous target for a number of African sides including Chelsea and Manchester United, is approaching the final months of his contract and could leave this year if an agreement over an extension cannot be found.
Most tabloids in Rwanda have stated that APR have identified Mukwala as a potential summer signing, as they look to build their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season and the CAF Champions League.
The Ugandan international is currently tied to the Pocuppines on a two-year contract which will run out at the end of this season but Kotoko chose to trigger the one-year extension clause in his contract which the player has refused to renew his contract.
He is yet to agree to the terms of a new deal, so Kotoko may be tempted to sell the striker before they risk losing him on a free.
