The Ghana Futsal national team head Coach Philip Boakye has given a brief account of what the Futsal AFCON tournament in Morocco means for the team despite suffering an early exit.
The Black Stars failed to win any of their three Group A matches which made them crash out of the tournament.
The team suffered an 11-3 defeat to Angola, following earlier defeats of 5-2 to Zambia and 8-3 to hosts' Morocco.
In all, the team conceded 24 goals and scored only eight throughout the tournament.
However, Philip Boakye in speaking about the experience garnered and the challenges faced' did say the loss to Angola was due to fatigue “I think Angola have a nice team. They played a good game, and I think the better side won. I think it's fatigue. And I think after we saw that, we knew that we are changing, but it's the fatigue.
Boakye also went ahead to state what participating in the Futsal AFCON meant for the team and his career. “I think this is our learning point, and we have studied a lot of things from some countries who came for the tournament. Surely, we are going home to do our homework.”
