Newly-appointed head coach of Asante Kotoko, Seydou Zerbo has called on the Kotoko supporters to troop to the Stadium in numbers on Sunday for their game against RC Kadiogo.

The Burkinabe gaffer was appointed last month as replacement for Prosper Narteh and led the team in most part of their preseason including the trip to Sudan.

The Porcupine Warriors humbled Burkina Faso champions RC Kadiogo by 0-1 last Sunday in Cotonou, Benin and are looking poised for the return encounter this weekend.

Speaking in the pre-match interview, Seydou Zerbo has expressed elation and is so much proud for taking up the Kotoko job since is a club he's heard of since his boyhood days.

Also, he wrapped up by urging all Kotoko faithfuls to come in numbers on Sunday to rally behind the club since he believe that will play a vital role in helping them cruise to the next preliminary round. He said;

“It’s a pleasure for me to be here because ever since I was young, I heard the name of Kotoko and I must say I am very proud to be here, but the thanks goes to the management and the supporters for having me here.”

“I can’t promise winning the champions league within one year but what I can assure every supporter is that I will make good use of the materials available.”

“It’s a big game  and the difference will be the supporters. Everywhere you go in Europe you will see the supporters being the number twelve man so if they really have the team at heart, then they should be here on Sunday.” He added

The game is scheduled for Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
