South African coach Steve Komphela has hailed the Ghana Football Association over the $2 million sponsorship deal with telecommunication giant MTN.

The Ghana Football Association on Thursday, November 3rd, 2022, announced a one-year sponsorship deal with MTN for the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns gaffer reacting to the lofty sponsorship deal on his official twitter account described it as a ‘great news’ for the four-time Africa Cup of Nations champions.
 
 
 
The deal which runs out in January 2024 will see MTN commit the cedi equivalent of $ 2 million to the team ahead of their participation in the FIFA World Cup "Qatar 2022".
 
The sponsorship package is to support the well-being of the Black stars at the World Cup and their preparations towards the next African Cup of Nations.
 
Ghana have been housed in Group H of the 2022 FIFA World Cup alongside Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay
