Head coach of Abha Saudi club, Pitso Mosimane has come-up as one of the candidates to replace Rui Vitoria at the dugout of the Egyptian national team.

Kickgh.com understands that the former Al Ahly coach is ready to go on the negotiation table with the Pharaohs to become their trainer ahead of the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) had sacked Portuguese manager Rui Vitoria following a bad run of results at the 2023 AFCON.

“What I know is that Mosimane is open to the idea of coaching Egypt, and he is waiting for someone to initiate contact with him,” Shobeir, a former goalkeeper turned pundit said on Cairo-based SportFM.

Mosimane recently took charge of Abha Club after spending just over four months at fellow Saudi Pro League rivals Al-Wahda.

Mosimane is known for his successful spells at Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly where he won a total of 17 trophies including three CAF Champions League titles.
