Kurt Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has charged Ghana U17 team with the conviction that Nigeria is beatable.
The Black Starlets will come up against Nigeria today (Tuesday) during their third-place match in the WAFU Zone B U17 Championship.
The team will be without resigned head coach Laryea Kingston when they clash with their fierce neighbours.
While Kingstons absence is taking a toll on the players, Okraku has admonished the players to believe in their capabilities and go for the kill against the Golden Eaglets.
“Let’s be focused on our next opponents, Nigeria. They are beatable. Just don’t panic when things are difficult. Just be relaxed and keep playing to your strengths and the best of your abilities: You will get there," the GFA boss said during a visit to the team on Monday evening.
“Let’s never depart from how we have been taught to play. Let us stay together," Okraku added.
The match between Ghana and Nigeria will come-off this afternoon at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, with kick-off slated to come at exactly 16:00GMT (4:00pm).
