The Falcons of Sudan have commenced their preparations for match-day three of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Ghana next month.
The Sudan Football Association (SFA) has announced that the team will switch camp to Ghana on October 1 for a ten-day extensive training session for the all-important fixture against the Black Stars of Ghana.
Coach James Kwesi Appiah's side tasted defeat in their match-day two against Angola and is hoping to return to winning ways with the away game against Ghana. Sudan began the qualification campaign for the next AFCON tournament with a 1-0 win over Niger before a 2-1 defeat to Angola.
The Sudan national team is scheduled to arrive in Ghana on October 1, 2024, and they will lodge at the Royal Baron Hotel in Kumasi should the Confederation of African Football (CAF) lift the ban on the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The 40,000-capacity stadium in Kumasi has been banned from hosting international football matches by CAF, citing "technical infractions," including the poor condition of the playing field.
Ghana will host Sudan in match-day three of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers on October 11, 2024.
