In the end, it was Alpha Chris Onyango who made the difference, scoring the only goal of the game to hand Gor Mahia a vital win and bragging rights.
Morrison, who played the full duration of the match, did not hold back in his post-match reaction, sending a strong message to critics and celebrating the victory with the club’s supporters.
“They talk too much, put some respect on our name. Respect the Green army. Fans, enjoy this win,” he said after the game.
The win further strengthens Gor Mahia’s grip on the title race as they continue their push to finish the season strongly.
The result moves the Greens six points clear at the top with 61 points from 18 wins, seven draws and four defeats, while AFC Leopards remain second on 55 points after 29 matches.
