According to the head coach of the Black Meteors - Ibrahim Tanko, his side is highly motivated to level up their performance and qualify to the knockout rounds and win the trophy at stake.
“Our target is to qualify to the Olympic Games but of course, there is a trophy at stake so we want to win it too," Tanko said ahead of his side's first game against Congo today (Sunday).
“Our preparations have been good. We started in Ghana and went to Egypt. Our objective is to qualify and to win the ultimate”, Coach Tanko said ahead of the team's first game on Sunday against Congo."
The Black Meteors are paired in Group A alongside Congo, hosts Morocco, and Guinea.
