Ugandan forward Travis Mutyaba is said to have arrived in Cairo, Egypt to complete a winter move to giants Zamalek.

Despite being just 18, Mutyaba has 11 caps under his sleeves for the Cranes of Uganda, having made his international debut at 16.

He joins Zamalek from Ugandan side SCV Kampala for a reported fee of $220,000 and will sign a four-and-a-half-year contract.

Mutyaba is expected not to take up any foreign spot in the squad as he will be registered as a youth player; however, will play mainly for the first team.

The exciting teenager was reportedly close to signing for Georgian side FC Dinamo Tbilisi, but Zamalek smartly entered the race and finalized his signing.

He will become Zamalek’s third winter signing after Tanta’s Mohamed Atef and El-Dakhelya’s Mohamed Yasser.

Zamalek are keen on saving their season as they currently sit 12th on the Egyptian Premier League table with 11 points from eight games, just four points away from the drop.
