Ghanaian striker Hafiz Wontah Konkoni was on target for Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC in the CAF Champions League on Saturday afternoon.
Young Africans SC continued their impressive campaign in the 2023/24 CAF Champions League preliminary round with a 5-1 home win over AS Ali Sabieh Djibouti Telecom.
The former Bechem United attacker netted his second goal for the Tanzanian club since joining them for this season's campaign after opening his scoring account for the club in the Tanzanian Premier League last weekend.
Wontah Konkoni doubled their lead on the stroke of halftime after two-goal hero Maxi Nzengeli had opened the scoring for Young Africans SC earlier in the match.
Other goals from Pacome Zouzoua, Cement Mzize and Maxi Nzengeli's second goal ensured them an emphatic 5-1 win to advance to the next round of the competition.
