Zamalek SC head coach, José Gomes has heaped praises his players for they organized themselves throughout the game and added they were the best and deserved to sail through.
The White Knights after failing to score at home in the first leg, exhibited an improved version of themselves to put three unanswered goals past Dreams FC to cruise into the final of the CAF Confederations Cup.
The Egyptian giants started the party very early having opened the scoring account in just 12th minute through Hamza Al-Muthlouthi before Nigerian international Samson Akinyola doubled the lead before half time.
Fourteen minutes into recess, Mostafa Shalaby scored the last to wrap up a precious win that sent to make the last two.
In an interview, the Portuguese gaffer was very impressed with how discipline his lads were and feels they deserve to advance to the final of the competition.
"We worked hard and came to win, and I said before the match that when everything is under our control, we can perform at the best level possible for us," he said after the game.
"The two wingers and full-backs positioned themselves well and helped the team in the defensive situation, so we were strong defensively," he added.
"I saw a lot of different things from the start. We created spaces and deserved to win."
"We were the best and deserved to win the match and qualify for the final."
Zamalek SC will travel to Morocco to face RS Berkane for the first leg of the final on May 12, with the return encounter slated for May 19, 2024, in Cairo.
