Black Princesses coach, Yussif Basigi has admitted he anticipated a very tough opposition from Ethiopia and that's exactly what he got and is very happy with the win since it's the most important thing.

The Black Princesses nipped on Comfort Owusu's second half goal to narrowly edge their Ethiopian counterparts in a crucial Group A clash in the ongoing African Games.

The game was really a very tedious one for both teams with lots of intensity but produced no goal after first half.

Speaking after the game, the experienced tactician lauded the Ethiopians for their performance and added his girls played well to secure the three points which was the most desired thing.

"Ethiopia isn't a bad side so I anticipate a tough match so I'm not surprised we have to struggle to beat them. In the first half, we were unable to put our passes together but in the second half, we changed our tactics and it worked for us even though we were down with a player but we still dominated."

"We had the three maximum points, however, we also had some numerous chances we couldn't convert."

Ghana will face Tanzania in the second round of matches in the group phase on Tuesday, March 12, at the Cape Coast Stadium.
