Die Werderaner have officially announced the capturing of the 19-year-old teenager of Gambian descent ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window

German-born Gambian budding winger Jasha Barry has completed his switch from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt to domestic league rivals Werder Bremen, the club have confirmed.

The former Bayern Munich U17 star is joining the Bremen-based club on a free transfer after exhausting his current deal with the Deutsche Bank Park campaigners which is due to expire on June 30, 2026.

The ambidextrous talented attacking forward has been slated for the Werder Bremen U23 after he was snapped up from the Eintracht Frankfurt U19 for the 2026/27 football season.
A statement read: ''Werder Bremen's U23 squad planning continues to progress: Attacking player Jasha Barry will transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt's U19 team to the Green-Whites for the 2026/27 season. This was confirmed by Marc Dommer, Sporting Director at the Werder Performance Center, on Tuesday afternoon.''
''Jasha Barry returned to Eintracht Frankfurt's youth academy from FC Bayern Munich in 2023. This season, the attacking winger was included once in the Hessian club's UEFA Youth League squad and made 15 competitive appearances for the Eagles' U19 team.''
Sporting director Marc Dommer has hold the club's official website: ''With Jasha Barry, we have acquired a talented winger for SV Werder Bremen who expands our attacking play with additional options. His dynamism, explosive runs in behind, and direct drive towards goal offer promising prerequisites for taking the next step in men's football.''
Given his Gambian heritage, the Frankfurt am Main-born native rising star could become a future prospect for the Gambia national football team at the international level very soon.
