The 2021/22 Ghana Premier League top-scorer has earned a debut call-up to the senior national team of Togo for this month's international friendlies.
Former AshantiGold SC and Bechem United winger Yaw Annor has been handed an invitation to the Togo senior national team ahead of Cote d’Ivoire and Equatorial Guinea friendly matches.
Togo will face Cote d’Ivoire on September 24, 2022 in Paris, France before taking on Equatorial Guinea three days later in Morocco capital Casablanca.
Annor's mother is a Togolese which makes him eligible to represent the West African county since he has not played for the Ghana senior national team.
The 24-year old was exceptional in the Ghana Premier League last season, bagging 22 goals in 30 matches to win the top-scorer award ahead of Asante Kotoko striker Franck Mbella Etouga.
His explosive form for AshantiGold attracted huge interest from Egyptian side Ismaily SC who splashed $200,000 for his signature.
Aside AshantiGold SC, Yaw Annor has played for Ghanaian side Bechem United, CF Fuenlabrada and Burgos CF in Spain.
Yaw Annor has become the latest Ghana-born player to switch nationality for Togo after Kennedy Boateng, Emmanuel Hackman and Samuel Asamoah.
