Nsoatreman FC head coach, Yaw Preko has confessed his players were shaking in the opening minutes of the game but warmed themselves up subsequently to find their rhythm and he is very proud of their performance.

The 'Efiri Tete Amanaso' outfit had their first ever CAF inter-club competition appearance and they marked their debut in grand style with an impressive 3-0 victory over Chadian side TP Elect Sport FC in the first leg of the first preliminary round on Sunday afternoon at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.

The Green and Yellows started on an explosive note but were somehow wasteful in the opening minutes until arrow-head Mohammed Abdul Rahman opened the scoring account on the 30th minute.

Kwabena Adu Meider doubled the lead four minutes later before Abdul Rahman scored again to mark his brace in the game and also sealed the win.

Speaking on the win, the enterprising gaffer stated he is very proud of his lads for this win despite admitting they had a very poor start and is hoping they seal everything in the return encounter next week.

"I’m very proud. We should have scored more especially in the second half. We lost a bit of balance and the substitutions didn’t help. It’s our first and to get three goals here I’m very proud of the boys. There is more to come,” Coach Yaw Preko said.

"We didn’t start the game very well. The way we wanted. The first 15 minutes I think we were a bit jittery but gradually we warmed ourselves into the game. I told my boys when they come high we play one-two then we go long. It started working and the goal came, the confidence came and the boys started playing good football,” he added.

TP Elect Sport will host Nsoatreman FC for the second leg on Saturday, August 24, in N'Djamena.
