Zimbabwe have named a strong squad ahead of their Group C World Cup qualifier against South Africa at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Friday, October 10.

The Warriors are already eliminated from qualification, having earned just four points from four draws and four losses.

Despite the aforementioned abysmal display, coach Michael Nees has called up key players including Knowledge Musona, Khama Billiat, Marshall Munetsi, Terrence Dzvukamanja, and Davine Lunga.

South Africa, who have been docked three points for fielding suspended midfielder Teboho Mokoena in their 1-0 win over Lesotho in March. The ruling overturned the result, awarding Lesotho a 3-0 victory and moving South Africa down to second in Group C on 14 points, level with leaders Benin but behind on goal difference. They must win their remaining matches and rely on other results to qualify.
