Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, the talented Ghanaian winger, expressed his joy at being awarded Leicester City's Young Player of the Season during the club's annual awards ceremony at the King Power Stadium.
On loan from Sporting Lisbon, Fatawu's stellar performances throughout the 2023/24 season earned him recognition.
He played a pivotal role in Leicester City's championship-winning campaign, netting seven goals and providing 13 assists since joining the squad.
In response to receiving the accolade, Fatawu shared his gratitude, stating, “It was an honour and privilege to receive this amazing award. I want to thank all my teammates and management for their support and encouragement throughout the season, and all the Foxes. I am so grateful to everyone who has always been part of my journey. Thank you LCFC,” in a post on Instagram.
With his impressive displays, Leicester City plans to exercise their buy option, estimated at £17 million ($18.9 million), to secure Fatawu's services permanently.
