Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has expressed his eagerness to play in the Premier League with Leicester City following the club's announcement of his permanent signing from Sporting CP on Tuesday. He signed a five-year deal.
The 20-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Leicester, conveyed his excitement about playing in the Premier League for the first time. "I feel so much motivation to be in the Premier League. It’s something new to me. I’m going to go hard for that, with the team. I can’t wait to see [my team-mates]. I’ve missed them so much. They are like a family now. I didn’t think I’d miss some of them, but when I went away, I was really missing them! I can’t wait to see them."
His impressive performances in the Championship were crucial to Leicester City's successful campaign, which culminated in winning the title and securing promotion to the Premier League. In 43 appearances across various competitions last season, Fatawu showcased his talent with seven goals, including a memorable hat-trick in a dominant 5-0 victory over Southampton at Filbert Way.
