Black Stars winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, marked his Premier League debut with an assist to help Leicester City come from behind to salvage a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in their opening fixture of the 2024/25 season.
The 2016 English champions got relegated in 2023 but defied all odds to clinch the championship last season and are marked their topflight returned this evening at the King Power Stadium.
Trailing by a goal scored by Tottenham Hotspur's Pedro Porro on the 29th minute, Fatawu Issahaku assisted veteran Jamie Vardy with a teasing cross to snatch the leveller on the 57th minute.
Fatawu's outstanding display kept him in the game throughout full time and earned an impressive rating of 7.9, according to Sofascore.
He will hope for another starting berth when they face Fulham at the Craven Cottage this Saturday, August 24.
Abdul Fatawu Issahaku joined the club on a permanent long term deal just this summer after impressing at the club on loan from Portuguese Primera Liga team Sporting CP.
The mercurial winger was one of the outstanding players in the English Championship last season for the Foxes and is expected to light up the Premier League this season.
