Ghana prospect Abdul Latif Wunzalgu was named Man of the Match in Ghana's U-17 1-0 victory over Togo U-17 in the 2026 WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship.

The 16-year-old enterprising winger proved difficult to be contained in the clash by their opponents as his splendid display helped the Black Starlets to emerge victorious after David Kwarteng netted on the 7th-minute to hand all the maximum three points to Ghana in their opening fixture of the competition at the August 4 Sports Stadium in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
Following his remarkable performance, the individual coveted accolade was bestowed on him given his magnificent contribution to his side during the clash.

Ghana are now top of the Group A standings with 3 points and would be looking forward to maintaining their top spot in the tournament in order to secure qualification for the 2027 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Starlets will face Benin on October 13 for their second Group A match in the Championship.
