Albanian champions KF Egnatia have paid tribute to former Ghanaian international Raphael Dwamena who sadly passed on late last year after collapsing whiles in action for the club.
Dwamena, was really unstoppable at the start of the season for Egnatia but sadly knocked off in a game against FK Partizani in November and was quickly rushed to the Kavajë hospital but couldn't survive.
His corpse was returned in his native where he was subsequently laid to rest last February.
Dwamena, who turned 28 last November, started the season on a blistering note having scored nine goals in just eleven matches but sadly couldn't serge on with this explosive form.
KF Egnatia secured an important narrow 0-1 away win in a title decider against FK Partizani at the Air Albania Stadium to clinch their first ever league title with better head to head.
In the course of the celebration, the players and other officials of the Green and Blacks held Dwamena's pictures and jerseys to appreciate him for his great service to the club and also his contribution to winning the league.
Raphael Dwamena in his heir days, featured for clubs like Red Bull Salzburg, Liefering, Austria Lustenau, Levante, and others, having won almost 200 club appearances for himself with 98 goals and 42 assists.
He also nine appearances for the senior national team- Black Stars where netted two goals which all came against Ethiopia in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
