German club Rot-Weiss Essen are set to part ways with former FC Nürnberg II defender Aaron Frimpong Manu.
The 24-year-old has been with RWE since the start of the season after being brought in from FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt on a free transfer.
After making just one appearances this season, Manu has found game time hard to come by in the campaign, due to his recurrent injuries
According to head coach Christoph Dabrowski, the utility defender is not part of his plans going forward, as he has seen the German-born Ghanaian falling down the pecking order at the club.
Manu was last on the bench for Rot-Weiss Essen during their 3. Liga Round 29 fixture at Verl which they drew 1-1.
He signed a new two-year deal after joining the club this term, and this means both parties will have to agree on a settlement before he can leave RWE.
Manu will leave RWE as a free agent as agreement of terms for the termination is set to be ironed out in the coming days.
