Newly-signed Stade Rennais defender, Alidu Seidu has commenced training with his new club just less than 24hours from his unveiling hoping to acclimatize quickly before the next round of matches.

The Red and Blacks unveiled the Ghanaian defender yesterday and has signed a four-year deal after a fruitful negotiations and will stay in Brittany until 2028.

Rennais after series of attempts finally reached agreement with his former club for the service of their versatile defender for a fee of €11 million plus €2 million add ons.

He's trained with his new teammates for the first time today looking to catch the good eyes of manager Julien Stéphan as he hopes to make his debut this weekend against Montpellier in the next round of matches.

Alidu, was part of the Black Stars squad at the ongoing AFCON, but returned to complete the move after Ghana's early exit from the competition.

The 23-year-old bulky defender has been outstanding this season, having made 14 appearances in the Ligue 1 so far with an assist to his belt.
