The German lower division club have parted ways with the 20-year-old midfielder of Ghanaian descent ahead of the new football season
Oberliga Hamburg side Altona 93 have released German-born Ghanaian attacking midfielder Ezra Ampofo, the club have confirmed.
The ex-St. Pauli U19 star is leaving the Fifth tier outfit after the expiration of his contract at the end of the 2024-25 football season having linked up with them in 2023.
The Altona-based club took to their club's micro-blogging platforms to thank the Ghanaian youngster together with five other team-mates for their dedicated services at the Adolf-Jäger-Kampfbahn: ''We would like to thank you for your commitment, dedication, and fighting spirit. Without you, we wouldn't have been able to achieve these successes."
Before parting company with Altona 93 this summer, Ampofo made 43 appearances by netting 12 times and assisting 14 across all contests in the just ended season.
Given his Ghanaian root, the promising youngster still remains fit to play for Ghana on the international stage.
